Green arrest to be investigated - BBC

. The BBC reports;

"A top police officer is being brought in to investigate the handling of the arrest of Tory MP Damian Green as part of an inquiry into Home Office leaks.

The probe will be led by British Transport Police chief Ian Johnston.

There is widespread anger among MPs after Mr Green, the shadow immigration minister, was held for nine hours and had his Commons office searched.

Ministers have been accused of interfering with the inquiry, but have denied prior knowledge of the arrest."
